- was the alternate to the 1993 World Championships team
- competed "the Borden" (straddled pike jump standing sideways, with a 1/2 or 3/4 turn) on the balance beam at 1994 Worlds and the skill was named after her in the FIG's Code of Points
- graduated from high school in 1995 and was the Homecoming Queen
- missed part of 1995 and 1996 due to multiple injuries, including a broken toe and sprained ankle
